Our history
The Elessar Ranch Foundation was born from lived experience by the Founder/CEO Beau Wood. After facing personal hardship, near homelessness, and legal challenges, our founder realized the urgent need for a supportive community for veterans. The name was Inspired by J.R.R Tolkien’s symbol of the “Elessar”—the legendary green jewel of healing and renewal—the foundation is committed to offering new beginnings and restoring dignity to those who have served.
Our Mission
Our mission at the Elessar Ranch Foundation is to provide a sanctuary of healing, renewal, and hope for veterans and their families facing housing instability or crisis. We strive to create a nurturing environment where every veteran is treated with dignity and respect, recognizing the sacrifices they have made in service to our country. Through comprehensive housing solutions, supportive services, and a strong sense of community, we aim to empower those who have served to reclaim their independence, rebuild their lives, and find lasting stability. We are committed to fostering belonging, mental and emotional well-being, and opportunities for personal growth, ensuring that no veteran is left behind. Inspired by the legend of Elessar and the spirit of renewal it represents, we dedicate ourselves to restoring the light of hope for those who need it most.
FOUNDER / CEO Beau Wood
Jeremiah "Beau" Wood is the Founder and CEO of The Elessar Ranch Foundation, a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting veterans in their journey toward renewal and community integration. At 47 years old, Beau is a father of three—his son is 28, while his daughters are 24 and 21. Having recently gone through a divorce after 24 years of marriage, Beau’s personal experiences have shaped his commitment to creating meaningful change for others.
With a background in construction starting at age 16, Beau has hands-on expertise in all aspects of building. At 32, he joined the Colorado Army National Guard, where he served until becoming disabled in the line of duty. His story is woven into the fabric of The Elessar Ranch Foundation, which aims to honor and support veterans who have sacrificed for their country. Beau’s resolve to help others find not just shelter but a true sense of home and future is at the heart of his leadership and vision.
