Our history
The Elessar Ranch Foundation was established from the personal experiences of our Founder/CEO Beau Wood. After enduring significant challenges, including near homelessness and legal struggles, Beau recognized the critical need for housing solutions and a supportive community for veterans. The foundation's name is inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s symbol of the 'Elessar'—the legendary green jewel of healing and renewal—reflecting our commitment to offering new beginnings and restoring dignity to those who have served.

At the Elessar Ranch Foundation, our mission is to create a sanctuary of healing, renewal, and hope for veterans and their families who are facing housing instability or crisis. We focus on providing comprehensive housing solutions and strive to cultivate a nurturing environment where every veteran is treated with dignity and respect, honoring the sacrifices they have made in service to our country. By offering supportive services and fostering a strong sense of community, we aim to empower those who have served to reclaim their independence, rebuild their lives, and achieve lasting stability. Our commitment is to promote belonging, mental and emotional well-being, and opportunities for personal growth, ensuring that no veteran is left behind. FOUNDER / CEO Beau Wood
Jeremiah "Beau" Wood is the Founder and CEO of The Elessar Ranch Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting veterans as they navigate their journey toward renewal and community integration. At 47 years old, Beau is a father of three—his son is 28, while his daughters are 24 and 21. After recently going through a divorce following 24 years of marriage, Beau's personal experiences have deepened his commitment to creating meaningful change for others, particularly in providing housing solutions for veterans in need.
With a background in construction that began at age 16, Beau possesses hands-on expertise in all aspects of building. At 32, he joined the Colorado Army National Guard, where he served until becoming disabled in the line of duty. His personal story is intricately linked to the mission of The Elessar Ranch Foundation, which aims to honor and support veterans who have sacrificed for their country. Beau's dedication to helping others find not just shelter but a true sense of home and future is central to his leadership and vision.
